Terms of service
Last updated 21 September 2026 MagpieFeed, Rijeka, Croatia
These are the terms for using MagpieFeed. They are short on purpose. Where the product cannot do something yet, this page says so rather than reserving a right we are not exercising.
1What MagpieFeed is
You give MagpieFeed a product feed. It polls that feed on a schedule, works out what changed — new items, price drops, price rises, stock coming back, stock running out, items disappearing — and turns the changes you care about into finished posts: a rendered image and a written caption.
From there it does one of two things:
- Studio Mode — the post is rendered and handed to you to download, copy, export or share yourself. No platform account needed, no permissions dialog.
- Autopilot — for channels you connect, MagpieFeed publishes the post for you on the schedule you set.
Which platforms Autopilot can actually publish to is stated on the home page and kept current. Where we cannot publish, we say so instead of letting you connect something that will never post.
2Who we are
MagpieFeed is operated by Toni Ilić, a freelance developer based in Rijeka, Croatia. Contact: [email protected]. These terms are between you and him. "We", "us" and "MagpieFeed" mean the same thing throughout.
3Accounts and eligibility
- MagpieFeed is a tool for business use — running a shop, a deals site, an affiliate site, or a client's social channels. It is not aimed at consumers or at children, and you must be at least 16 to use it.
- Use a real email address you can receive mail at. We use it to tell you when a feed breaks or a channel token dies, which is most of the product's value.
- Keep your password and your API keys to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account and with your keys, including anything an automation of yours does.
- One account per person or business. Do not share a login around a team; issue API keys for machines instead.
4Your feed and your content
This is the important section, so it is blunt.
- The feed is yours and the posts are yours. We claim no ownership over your product data, your images, your logo or the captions generated for you. We store and process them to run the service for you, and for nothing else.
- You are responsible for the content of your feed. You confirm that you have the right to publish every product, image, price, description, logo and trademark that MagpieFeed posts on your behalf — whether that right comes from owning it, from a merchant's affiliate programme, or from a licence.
- We publish what your feed says. Prices, discounts and availability come straight out of the feed. If the feed is wrong, stale or mispriced, the post will be wrong too. We apply sanity guardrails — an implausible price change or a mass disappearance of items is held for your approval rather than posted — but those are a safety net, not a guarantee. Checking that a deal is real is your job.
- Captions are generated by software and can be wrong, awkward or inappropriate for your audience. Read a post before it goes out. Approving a post, or switching on an automation that approves posts for you, is you taking responsibility for what gets published.
- Do not put personal data in your product feed. MagpieFeed stores every item's raw record, and it is built for products, not for customer data.
5Affiliate and AI disclosure
If your posts contain affiliate links, sponsored placements or any other paid relationship, the law requires you to disclose it, and every platform's own rules require it too. In the EU that includes the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and its national implementations.
MagpieFeed gives you the tools to comply: a per-brand disclosure text that can be appended to captions, and a switch for labelling posts as AI-assisted. Using them is your responsibility, not ours. We do not monitor your posts for disclosure and we are not liable for a post of yours that lacks one.
6Acceptable use
Do not use MagpieFeed to:
- post anything unlawful, or anything that breaks the rules of the platform it is going to;
- post on behalf of an account or page you do not control or have permission to manage;
- send unsolicited bulk or spam content, or flood a channel to game a platform's reach;
- publish deals you know to be false, or prices you know your feed misstates;
- evade the rate limits and daily caps built into the service, or the limits of your plan;
- attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or resell access to it as your own product without agreeing that with us first.
The daily per-channel caps exist to keep your accounts out of trouble with the platforms. Working around them is a good way to get your own page restricted, and it breaks these terms.
7Plans, limits and billing
Nothing is charged today. The prices on the home page are real intentions, but there is no checkout on the site, we do not collect card details, and no payment is ever taken. A paid plan is switched on by hand if you ask for one.
So, honestly:
- Every account starts on Free, and the Free limits are enforced in software.
- Paid plan limits are enforced the same way once a plan is switched on for you.
- You will not be billed without being asked first and agreeing. When billing does go live, we will tell existing account holders by email before anything is charged, and continuing to use a paid plan after that notice is what would make it payable.
- Prices on the home page are quoted in euros per month, VAT excluded.
Plan limits (feeds, channels, posts per month, clips) are shown on the home page and are the limits actually applied by the software. If you outgrow a limit, tell us.
8Third-party platforms
- You need your own accounts on any platform you want to publish to, and you must keep to that platform's terms. Their rules apply to your posts regardless of what we do.
- We cannot guarantee delivery. A platform can reject a post, delay it, rate-limit it, take it down afterwards, change its API, or revoke your access — with or without a reason we can see. When that happens we record the attempt and its error in the post's delivery log and tell you, which is the most any tool in this position can honestly promise.
- If a token expires or is revoked, publishing to that channel stops until you reconnect it. We warn you when a token is close to expiry, but we cannot renew what the platform will not renew.
- We do not promise reach, engagement, clicks or sales. We promise that the post you approved is what we attempt to publish.
- Nothing here makes us an agent of any platform, and none of them endorse MagpieFeed.
9Availability
MagpieFeed is run by one person on rented infrastructure. There is no uptime SLA, no support hours and no guaranteed response time. We will take the service down for maintenance when it needs it, and try to do it quietly. The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Treat it as a tool that saves you work, not as infrastructure you would bet a business-critical launch on without checking the result.
10Suspension and termination
- You can stop whenever you like. Ask us to delete your account and we will — see the deletion section of the privacy policy.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, uses the service unlawfully, puts our infrastructure or other customers at risk, or that a platform requires us to cut off. Where the reason allows it, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
- We may discontinue the service. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your posts, and you will keep your exports.
11Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- lost profit, lost sales, lost reach or lost goodwill;
- a platform rejecting, delaying, removing or restricting your posts or your account;
- a post that was wrong because your feed was wrong;
- a caption written by software that you approved and published;
- indirect or consequential loss of any kind.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Since nothing is charged today, that figure is currently zero — which is the plainest possible reason to check a post before it goes out, and to keep your own copy of anything that matters.
None of this limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Croatian or EU law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes with them. For a material change — new obligations on you, or billing going live — we will email account holders. If you keep using MagpieFeed after a change takes effect, you accept it; if you do not want to, ask us to close your account.
13Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Croatian law, and disputes go to the competent courts of Croatia. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your own country.
